The pharmacy at Pikes Peak Regional Hospital provides pharmaceutical services to patients within the hospital, including the inpatient unit, emergency department, surgical services and infusion clinic. These services include dispensing medications, reviewing medications for dosing and appropriateness, and consultations to physicians, nurses and patients. The use of electronic dispensing machines (Pyxis MedStations) and electronic medication administration records are a few of the methods we utilize to provide accurate, safe and high quality services.

Patient care at Pikes Peak Regional Hospital (PPRH) is a team effort.  The PPRH Pharmacy staff, including our Manager of Pharmacy (Pharm D), works with physicians, nurses and other staff to maximize the care of our patients.  The pharmacy compliments the team through education of patients and staff, dosing antibiotics based on levels, modifying doses based on kidney function, and reducing polypharmacy (reducing the number of medications patients are taking).  Also, we maximize medication efficiency and safety by problem solving to prevent errors and compounding medications specifically for patients including IV fluids.

At this time, we do not provide outpatient retail services.
